FAME, The Musical
The Withermets are excited to be tackling the choreography for this reimagined and refreshed take on the 80's classic.
Following the lives of 10 aspiring artists, FAME takes a peek into the demanding four years of PA, The High School of the Performing Arts in New York City.
FAME is WST's inaugural production under the umbrella of professional research. From design to auditions to rehearsal formats to closing night of a publicly presented production, all will be approached with the mandate of creating a brave and inclusive rehearsal space so that artists can thrive, create, and perform their best work. A space where new artists have the opportunity to grow and discover their own process and where seasoned professionals can tackle new skills and expand their abilities.

Viva La Vie Boheme. Set at the dawn of the 1990s, a group of New Yorkers struggle with their careers, love lives and the effects of the AIDS epidemic on their community. Mark, an aspiring filmmaker, and Roger, an HIV-positive musician, scramble for money to pay rent to their landlord and former roommate, Benny. Meanwhile, their friend Tom, a professor, has fallen for Angel, who is slowly dying of AIDS.

Matt and Tyrell are excited to be joining the guest faculty for this year’s CAMP CUE campers. Specializing in dance for the stage, characterization, audition prep, tap dance and more, The Withermets are looking forward to sharing the love and passion of musical theatre with this year’s attendees.
